Toronto City Church is seeking a passionate, gifted, and Christ-centered leader to serve as our TCC Kids Director.
We believe children are not simply the future of the Church. They are an essential part of the Church today. We are looking for someone who loves Jesus, has a heart for children and families, and is excited to build a thriving, safe, and life-giving children’s ministry where kids encounter God, grow in their faith, and discover their purpose.

About the Role
The TCC Kids Director provides leadership and oversight for all children’s ministry (Grades 1-6) at Toronto City Church. This includes Sunday programming, volunteer leadership, curriculum implementation, special events, and pastoral care for children and their families.
The successful candidate will embrace the mission, vision, and values of Toronto City Church while helping build a healthy ministry that raises the next generation to know and follow Jesus.
Key Responsibilities
Sunday Children’s Ministry
· Lead and oversee all Sunday children’s programming.
· Ensure a safe, engaging, and spiritually enriching environment.
· Provide leadership and direction for teachers and support volunteers.
· Troubleshoot ministry needs and provide ongoing leadership during services.
Volunteer Recruitment & Development
· Recruit, interview, screen, and onboard new volunteers.
· Ensure all volunteers complete required Police Checks and safety requirements.
· Train and equip volunteers using Plan to Protect standards.
· Coach, encourage, and supervise ministry leaders and volunteers.
· Foster a healthy, positive volunteer culture.
Curriculum & Teaching
· Select, organize, and implement age-appropriate biblical curriculum.
· Ensure curriculum is taught consistently and effectively.
· Support teachers through preparation, coaching, and feedback.
Events & Ministry Initiatives
· Plan and oversee children’s ministry events throughout the year.
· Coordinate seasonal programs and family-focused ministry opportunities.
· Work collaboratively with church staff to support church-wide events.
Pastoral Care
· Provide pastoral care and spiritual support to children and their families.
· Build meaningful relationships with parents.
· Develop resources that encourage parents in discipling their children.
· Help children take meaningful next steps in their relationship with Christ.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
· A vibrant and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
· A strong Christian testimony marked by integrity and godly character.
· Alignment with the vision, mission, and leadership of Toronto City Church.
· A heart for children and families.
· A minimum of 2 years of experience working with children and/or in ministry.
· Bible College or ministry training (preferred).
· A solid understanding of child development and age-appropriate ministry
· Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
· A commitment to ongoing learning and professional development in children’s ministry.
· A positive, teachable spirit and willingness to receive feedback.
· A collaborative, team-oriented attitude.
· The ability to thrive in a multicultural and diverse church environment.
