We are seeking a highly competent, motivated and conscientious individual, with a passion for Jesus and for His church, to fill the role of an Administrative Coordinator. The right candidate will have a strong personal relationship with God and possess the gift of organization, effective communication and administration.

The Opportunity:

  • Provide administrative support to the Lead Pastor and Co-Pastor by responding to requests, maintaining emails and agendas, arranging travel, maintaining records, tracking weekly statistics and maintaining internal policies

  • Coordinate all events for the Church by maintaining the Annual Event Calendar, booking facilities, arranging hospitality services, organizing the Annual General Meeting, ensuring delivery of supplies and materials, communicating updates and changes to the team, compiling statistics/reports and monitoring events from beginning to end

  • Oversee the volunteers (200+) by maintaining the volunteer list, coordinating volunteers for events, processing criminal record checks and maintaining records

  • Provide administrative support for weekly Sunday Services and the Welcome Centre by arranging supplies, sign-up forms, etc. and communicating with members

  • Maintain a database and website by updating regularly

  • Perform other tasks that may be assigned by management

The Candidate:

  • Post-secondary graduation (Business Administration) and a minimum of three years’ related experience in a Church or Non-Profit environment

  • Strong personal faith and Christian testimony in order to support the Vision, Mission, Core Values and Doctrinal Statement of Toronto City Church

  • Excellent organizational and coordination skills relating to a wide variety of administrative tasks, as well as diligent, focused and a quick learner

  • Good knowledge of ‘best practices’ within an office environment

  • Superior verbal and written communication skills to liaise with a variety of members, volunteers and community contacts

  • Good customer services skills to meet the needs of the members and community

  • Exceptional ability to multi-task and time management skills

  • Project management skills are an asset

  • Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills including adaptability/flexibility to meet deadlines

  • Ability to work independently, as well as be a member of a team

  • Have demonstrated competency in various communication techniques and mediums

  • Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) as well as the internet

  • Ability to work flexible hours and with a diverse group of people in a cross-cultural setting
